Leeds City AC is a very loud and proud athletics club which has more than 500 members. The competing members, or athletes, range from our under-11 boys’ & girls’ (Leeds Lions); through each age range right the way through to the Veterans.
We compete in track & field (sprints, middle distance, throwing, jumping, and hurdles) as well as cross country, road running, fell/hill running and race walking. We also have our fantastic Leeds Wheelchair Racing Team. Our U13/U15 teams compete in the North Premier East division of the Youth Development League (YDL) lower. Our U17/U20 teams compete in the North East first division of the Youth Development League (YDL) Upper. Our senior team competes in division 2 of the North of England Track & field League.

Leeds City Athletic Club is located just off the M621 at the Leeds Indoor Athletics & Bowling Centre at John Charles Centre for Sport. We meet every TUESDAY & THURSDAY from 5.30 – 8.30 p.m. The John Charles Centre for Sport has excellent athletics facilities including;
- 50 metre, 6 lane indoor straight track for sprint and hurdle training and strength and conditioning work
- Indoor throwing cage for discus, hammer and shot
- Outdoor Athletics track
- Facilities for all jumping disciplines
- Javelin throwing area
